Hyde Dam Removal Site - Tree Planting

Good morning GUVTU Members!

We are in need of volunteers to help us complete the Hyde Dam Removal EAS Project! On Friday October 15th at 4 PM in collaboration with the White River Partnership, we will be planting trees at the Hyde Dam Removal site on the 2nd branch of the White River.

We need your help!

If you can volunteer -- please text/call Marty Banak our conservation chair at 1-802-299-6366 for further details.

All you really will need is work gloves and if you have a heavy mallet to bring that would be helpful.

If time allows after planting the willows and trees, we can pick-up trash up- and down-stream of the site. You can access most of the river near the site with muckboots on, but waders might be helpful if there's interest in going farther afield. The trash is mainly broken glass and metal with a few tires and larger items mixed in. We'll have buckets for the glass/metal and trash bags for the rest.

Tight Lines,

Robb Cramer
